The "Sacred Places" Series is an ongoing series of hand-thrown clay vases and platters with hand painted
imagery using colored slips. The theme of this series offer unique perspectives into seemingly mundane places.
In some pieces, I have used imagery of powerlines and utility poles, which I use as metaphors for the
connectivity and symbiosis of mankind and nature. Although the utility pole is fixed in a particular place in space,
it is interconnected with other poles by wires which gives the individual pole a high level of importance in the
matrix of utility wires.  In essence the matrix of power lines represents the matrix of the Unified Field Theory and
the connectivity of all things expressed in Buddhism.
