Introduction to Raku Firing - Wednesdays July 23- August 6 ,2008 6:30-9:00PM
Raku firing is a centuries old Japanese firing technique where pottery is removed from a kiln when hot and glowing and
then manipulated to achieve stunning glaze results like colorful swirls of metallics. Students will have the opportunity to
create work either on the wheel or by hand and then learn the ins and outs of raku firing. <Click to Register>
Introduction to Callograph Printing - Sundays (Fall 2008) DATES TBA
Collagraph is a print technique combining both collage and printmaking where the artist builds up and manipulates the
printing plate using simple materials such as cardboard, fabric, lace, and found objects. Students will learn to construct
plates and produce a series of prints. <Click to Register>
